Production of artificial leather

A large part of our company's activity is the development and production of artificial leather according to individual needs. In all cases, we turn to professional European factories, thus ensuring high quality and compliance with European standards.

MANUFACTURING PROCESS
- First, we assess the required parameters and the acceptable price range.
- Knowing these, we can start the consultation with the most suitable factories for the production of the given artificial leather.
- In many cases, several test productions made in a laboratory may be necessary before the appropriate artificial leather is formed.
Depending on the complexity, this procedure can take up to several months.
- In the case of this type of demand, factories usually set a minimum production quantity of between 500-1000 square meters.

DEFINABLE PARAMETERS

Composition:
The composition of the cover layer can be PVC (polyvinyl chloride), PU (polyurethane) or a mixture of these. The high PVC content makes the artificial leather resistant and durable, while the PU has a soft grip and is easier to handle.

Carrier fabric:
You can choose from various PES (Polyester), Cotton and mixed fiber substrates. The substrate greatly influences the technical parameters of artificial leather, and certain ISO standards specifically define the type of substrate. Thus, it is conceivable that we cannot implement a requested ISO standard with all types of media.
The more specialized the requested carrier, the higher minimum order quantities can be expected.

Thickness:
The possible minimum and maximum thickness depends on the type of substrate and the required physical properties, but in general the thickness can be determined between 0.6 and 2.0 mm.

Special features:
More common requirements include flame-resistant, salt-resistant, UV-resistant, antibacterial, waterproof, oil-resistant, chemical-resistant, breathable, sterilizable, non-slip, anti-static properties. It is possible that a claimed property limits other production possibilities of artificial leather, or excludes another property.

Surface pattern:
In addition to the surfaces found on our website, we have many additional samples available. If you cannot find the requested pattern among these, then it is possible to create a unique surface pattern. In this case, the paper used for the production of artificial leather must also be produced separately. This is perhaps the most problematic criterion as it drastically increases the minimum order quantity and production time.

Color and brightness:
The individual color can be requested based on a color sample or Pantone color scale. Artificial leather can have a glossy or matte surface.

Technical parameters:
Artificial leather can be specified to meet a certain standard or physical property. This can be any ISO standard related to synthetic leathers, tensile strength, abrasion resistance, elongation, etc. We can test the specified parameters in a qualified laboratory after production.

Procedures:
Artificial leather can be requested with ultrasonic quilting, traditional thread quilting, perforation, or digitally printed.
